“Traditional Japanese experience in great location!
This place is located very close to tons of shops, restaurants and attractions. The Kiyomizu-dera is only a 15 minute walk, subway is close and a few smaller temples are around the corner.
The place was very clean and the staff was extremely helpful before arrival. They also provide recommended taxi services and restaurants which made our stay very pleasant!””
“I loved the location and the beautiful traditional Japanese house. Though it was traditional, every appliance was new and modern. Aircon in every room was great. The amenties were 5 star! I can’t wait to return with my children next time. Also the host was so helpful about everything.”

“Oasis in Gion After spending almost three weeks in hotel rooms all over Japan we decided to stay at this Machiya house for our last few days. It over looks the kenniji temple and feels like a treehouse at times. It is a little oasis in a fantastic location in Gion. It is a small apartment in western terms but spacious in traditional Japanese style.
There is an outside balcony between the main bedroom and the tatami covered living room with a well equipped kitchenette on one side. We used the second bedroom as a dressing room as it was located next to the deluxe bathroom and separate toilet room.
There is a grocery store nearby and many restaurants as well. Peaceful, quiet, great place to stay in the heart of Kyoto.”
